Vector art is the desired format for screen printing. Most multi-color designs will need to be in a vector format so we can create spot color separations. Of course, there are exceptions to every rule.
.CDR - CorelDraw X3 or below.
.AI - Adobe Illustrator CS5 or below.
.EPS - Encapsulated Post Script - Vector.
.WMF - Window Meta File.
.PDF - Adobe Portable Document File - Vector.
Suitable for single color prints. The higher resolution the better. 600 DPI is preferred. Sorry, but low resolution .JPGs copied from the internet will probably not work for screen printing and will most likely have to be redrawn in to a vector format..
.PSD - 300 DPI or higher for single color design.
.TIF - 300 DPI or higher for single color design.
.BMP - 300 DPI or higher for single color design.
Black ink on white paper, to size. Medium ball point pen or heavier. Sorry, but artwork drawn in pencil will probably not be usable.
